- Call for submissions for new Pop Up chapbook specifically responding to the need to share what it is like to be a person of color in Northwest Ohio. Seeking poems, flash fiction, creative non-fiction, any form of writing that is no more than two pages long.
Specifically accepting only writing from people of color. Theme is personal or shared experiences relating to race.
Please send up to three pieces to firstname.lastname@example.org. Include short bio (short paragraph). Send submissions by Sunday, June 14th.
Because of generous donations by marketing network Social B. Creative and by local artist/poet Adrian Lime, we are able to reimburse contributors $20 per accepted piece. Thank you immensely to the creative community of Toledo for helping to support each other! All contributors will also get a contributor copy. This is intended to be a hand-made chapbook, no more than 40 pages in length. But it may be a larger project than originally intended, depending on the submissions.
Once completed, net proceeds from the book will go to Community Solidarity Response Network of Toledo. Learn more about this hardworking local network at https://www.facebook.com/csrntoledo/ and http://www.joincampaignzero.org/#vision.
