August brings us so many letters, so many new verses, not only through adventures like The Sealey Challenge, but also through the many events going on in and around Northwest Ohio. Particularly on Saturday, August 12th when Toledo hosts women from all over in two incredible events...
but I'm getting ahead of myself. Let's start at the beginning of the month...
Thursday, August 3 - Ohio Poetry Association has partnered with the Ohio State Fair Fine Arts Program and the Ohio Arts Council to coordinate the Ohio Poetry Showcase. Students and Poets Laureate from all over the state will be performing:

We start with an event hosted by Uncloistered Poetry and Toledo Lucas County Public Library, highlighting the incredible Ohio Poet Laureate, Kari Gunter-Seymour, and her Women of Appalachia Project. Eight poets visit our McMaster Center Stage to share their original writing.
